Default LS3 stock pistons with 427 stroker kit?

I have a LS3 pullout motor from a 2010 camaro that I am going to put in my 1969 Camaro. I was going to just do a cam swap and then drop it in but am now considering doing other performance mods.

I would like to keep costs down as much as possible while increasing horsepower and torque. So I was wondering if it is possible to use the stock pistons while installing a 4.125" crank with appropriate rods to stroke this motor to 427cid?
Thanks,

No, the rods lenght is 6.098 on the ls3 and the aftremarket stroker kits are made for a 6.125 rod so the compression height is wrong. Now having said that you. You might be able to match something up but I doubt it.

Thanks,
well the pistons will stick about .250+ out of the cylinder ... so no they wont work... the stroke is a half inch longer then stock and the rod is .027" longer then stock

Thanks for the reponses.
Can anyone advise of where I could get a good price on the complete 427 stroker kit? or a 416 stroker kit?
Also, how much should I expect to pay a shop to install the stroker kit and cam?
Thanks,

You can buy kits directly from us or though us, or use one of our distributors. Many of which sponsor this site.
