LS3 heads Hollow valves question

LS3 heads Hollow valves question
I just eyeballed a set of LS3 heads (0821) and the distance from the top of the retainer to the tip on the hollow Intake valve looks to be greater than the standard exhaust valve. Visually greater... I did not measure the retainer height differences (they aren't mine). Just wondering whats changed?
Are the Intake valves longer or is the groove lower on the valve for some reason?
If the groove is lower then I would have thought there would be a few post about the spring heights not matching up.
Or if the valve is longer then the pushrod length would be different.

From memory GM reduced the intake base circle on the cam and extended the valve a little to address that. It was a while ago (3 years...) so memory a little dim.

Not really, the reduced base circle on the cam can be corrected by a longer pushrod or a longer valve. GM chose the valve as it wont get mixed up like running unequal length pushrods.
