top end question How much gain would you think IF ANY of the following swap.
From a 6.0 LS2 internal engine with a 244 250 .610 lift cam....full bolt ons.
The switch:
FROM ported fast 92/90 combo with say stock ls6 heads...
TO
Stock L92/L76 head/intake combo?
From what I see the l92 heads flow a LOT better.
What about the lift of that cam witll that be a problem? I ask because I notice a lot of smaller cams are usually used in that setup.
Will the springs swap over?

Lift isn't the issue; it is duration. At Peak lift the piston is not near top dead center. At TDC, during overlap is when the risk of hitting occurs. The piston is near the top and the valves are open.
If that cam fits, you certainly will be need to be careful if you deviate from the stock compression.

According to Brian at comp cams, you need about an additional 12 degrees on the exhaust since the ls3 heads flow so good on the intake side, you must compliment the exhaust side to expell the air. This is what comp told me so don't shoot the messenger please.
