Eagle rods good or bad? ls2 d1 procharged

Default Eagle rods good or bad? ls2 d1 procharged

Ok i have an ls2 d1 procharged .. 3.4 pulley, 60lb injectors, 90 mm tb, super vic intake, intercooler, alcohol injection availible. running a blower cam. 243 heads with -11 cc dished wiseco pistons. stock rod length. stock crank... So i have the chance to buy these eagle rods... but alot of people are telling me dotn get them just get callies or k1s... Are eagle rods junk or am i going to over power them? Some guys say there running upper 700hp range. which i thought was with in the power limits of the eagle rods. Let me know what you guys think thannks

I have made 700hp on sbc with no problem. And i have a 408 lq9 with them and i plan to make 800hp on them.

Ive had countless of times where people told me to upgrade to callies or k1s.. what pistons are you running.. are u forced inducted

I run wiseco's or diamond's in ls builds. Je's or srp's in sbc. Callies makes nice stuff period.

I'm building a 415 with 10.5:1, and it's going to have Eagle Rods, Eagle Crank, and Diamond -13cc dish pistons. Will press over 800 HP at about 10-12Lbs of boost. I'll let you know what happens soon. Give CNC-Motorsports a call and discuss with them all of what you want. They do fantastic work and they're building my Shortblock per spec.

eagle is a well known name for engine internals i use them in the past pushing to it 680 rwhp with not problem so that is more than 700hp@ the crank. My need motor i hope to push 700 rwhp with a turbo set up and i going to use eagle h bean again.

i was leary about using eagle rods because they are jap,i am pushing at least 550 at wheels with nitrous and seems to be holding great,knock on wood.

They are not Jap, they are Chinise. Never seem to have any trouble with them in budget lower power builds though.

832rwhp in my car with eagles for the past 5000 miles..My buddy had 30,000 miles at 780rwhp on his eagles, drove it like he stole it, was still running strong when he totaled the car. Diamond pistons, stock cranks in both cars..

Eagle used to be all American. WTF happened? I don't think Eagle is making junk. Is Eagles Cranks Chinese too?

in my short time period here i see alot of grandstanding regarding eagle. its OK to use a callies compstar crank cause its machined in the US but its build overseas. seems everyone is quick to bash eagle because they are made in china.
i talked to my engine builder and he personally has been perfectly happy when people bring him eagle products. hes had callies stuff in his shop too and didnt feel it was any better than the eagle stuff as far as low dollar equipment.
if hes looking at buying a eagle set of rods i highly doubt hes going to upgrade to a set of lunatis for 3Xs the price. the callies rods though are just a step above the eagles in regards to pricing.
alot of "buy american" on this board. probably going to rough some feathers with that statement but if your so buy american then you can pretty much toss all your home electronics and countless other things in the garbage. be sure to buy american when it comes to your engine internals though, LOL.
