Its simple, and "Tireburnin" your the reason I sent him thess heads, I wish you never posted on my original topic, and the reason you did not post up any info on your heads is you dont have it either,

It's a shame that you got everything you paid for (and more in reality), but still aren't happy. Ai seems to have gone out of their way for you with offers to fix YOUR issue (not one with the heads) even after you got a huge discount.

As for the heads, you likely have the 267cc ports which are the smallest port and best for a smaller cubic inch engine. Ironically, as unhappy as you are with the physical appearance of your heads, mine are PERFORMING great.

I have the same 267cc port and made 714hp with 416ci. The flow numbers (or lack of them) don't seem to affect the power for me.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...-714hp-na.html

I hope that your new setup looks as good as mine performs. When you see other Ai customers running faster at the track and making more power, I hope the look of your new heads and flow numbers satisfy you.

Good luck with your build.

i have no dog in this fight.not taking sides.beyond what was posted on here the only 2 people that know what was said or promised are the OP and Phil.i have no experience with AI,so i can't speak for their work.might be crap,or could be the best out there.i have no idea
but i will say,as far as "100% CNC machined" goes,i would want the machining done where it will do the most good.here's the thing most folks don't know or understand:as far as most heads go,that would be just below the valve and bowl area, including the valve and seat.that's why on a performance VJ,the angles the porter/shop uses are a closely guarded secret.don't believe me?ask a shop what angles they use and see what they tell you.if the cutter didn't touch the rest of the port,i could give a rats a** as long as the heads performed well.you fix the area with the most restriction, and on LS1/2/92 heads,it damn sure ain't the port itself.
flow benches do vary,so the only way to compare apples to apples is to use the same bench before and after.even then flows #s can be misleading.flow benches are but one tool porters use to develop their product.
super smooth shiny ports are just for the unwashed masses who don't know any better.
it's been a few years, but i've seen some heads off of a couple of very fast drag only cars.if you posted pics of those ports on the net, most people on here would say there junk.
it's not how much material is removed, but more importantly, where it's removed that counts.

to many on here are worried about looks i had a set of heads done by one of the best (larry meaux) and he did'nt touch 3/4 of the ports. those heads flowed 351-225. they made great power.

People like this are the reason things are expensive to normal people. I've dealt with AI numerous times and have had nothing but excellent service and quality product from them. Knowledge > Perception, lesson learned.
