Default G6X3 cam ptv clearance

Was looking at testing one of these in a LS3 here in Aus. How much ptv clearance do you get with stock heads with this camshaft.?

cheers

This cam has been used by several people. Some have had to flycut and some have not. It is on risky side for ptv in a ls3. Anything over 230 intake duration is starting to push it and I believe the intake duration on a g6x3 is 235. It would be best to get with pat g.

LG told me they are mid 230z low 240z so im guessing 235/242 with high lift.

the did well on a friends LS2 C6 it was a 50rwhp of gain from the cam itself.

LISTEN TO THIS GUY...Been there done that...Most of the test done and posted by LG you need to look closely...They are not using ls3 heads Tight tight fit...You will be running a really high chance of ******* something up unless you flycut...

Yea I think lg says you don't need to but I did. My heads were cleaned up a little too though... Go with this cam! It is amazing, I can get my car to idle as low as 550 Rpms and the lope is just insane. Gobs of power all over the place but the car really wakes up in the upper range..

I wanted to run this cam so bad i couldnt stand it and i dont doubt one bit that it is a bad *** cam..The problem arrises when you are told you dont have to fly cut and you end up having to un-prepared ya know??? Bottom line is you do and if you dont your going to run in to some expensive problems usless you ***** your car around town and never go to the track or rev your car. It would have end up costing me over 5 grand to install a cam after all i went through to install it. But please take it from someone who bought the cam and dropped it off for installation...It does not fit unless you flycut...And if you dont believe me ask some shops that actually check ptv before they intall a cam (the right way) Im just looking out and DO NOT WANT ANYONE GOING THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH...Exactly what this forum is for, first hand experience....Hell i might end up swapping to this cam later on down the road bc it sound nasty and apparently it performs...

I have checked a 235 LSK intake lobe at 111+1.5 & it had .023" p/v on the intake side. Not sure where the camshaft your discussing is, but I thought this might help.

should be handy info, is it true the LS2 has more PTV clearance than the LS3?

I have read many LS2 guy's using this cam w/o flycutting.
