Default Cant Decide! HELP

What i have : 99Trans Am with 116k spun bearing engine
3500 EDGE converter with freshened up tranny & shift kit & 10bolt
LCA's and Subframes, drag radials
Engine has headers, cam, valve train, basics

What i Want: I want to run a 7.0 or close engine alone in the 1/8th

Option A - 346 with flycut pistons, Trex or MS4, Dart heads 225cc

Option B - 383, dart 225cc or something with bigger castings, custom grind

Option C - iron block maybe alum, 418, dunno what head, custom grind

Option D - 427 Iron block maybe alum, l92's? maybe, custom grind

Now of course i want to 427 but i can only imagine the things that are going to go wrong behind the engine, the tranny wont last, and i know the rear is a time bomb as is. So what im looking for is advice and im trying to look at the big picture here not just a big HP engine swap. I know the weight differences and i plan on getting a K member and battery relocate with each setup. Im assuming option A and B will prolong the life of the rest of my drivetrain but i know it will eventually need replaced. Reason i have sooo many options is because all the rotating assemblies are about the same price.

I would go with smaller cubes and a decent set of heads. I like the little motors that turn alot of rpms and one of my buddies had a 383 LS6 motor and it pulled like a freight train and could handle 250 shots all day...

Whenever my stock ls1 kicks the bucket I want to do a small build like that, but I like to drive my car on the street so big cubes and huge cam is not what I'm looking for. Best of luck with the new build bro!

the two bigger motors will KILL your ten bolt. i love my 383. the reason i stayed with the ls6 block is because i wanted the option to run the more budget friendly ls6 heads. i also reused my MS4 and fast 92/92. just my thoughts though.

If you go with a 400+ cube that 10 bolt is not going to last, id add a rear end into your budget and see what you can afford from there. If your not getting a rear end i say stick with the a mild 346. Then again some 10 bolts are freaks and can hold a good amount of power.
