2010 Camaro LS3 into 99 LS1 TA questions
I'm helping my buddy install a 2010 pull out LS3 (with 24 reluctor crank) into a 1999 TA. My questions are:
-crank sensor has to be replaced (gray to black?)
-cam sensor has to be changed to LS2? The cam will be replaced along with the timing chain to a LS2 aftermarket timing chain
-relocate knock sensors? Does the block have to be tapped?
-any mods to the motor mounts?
-the push rods/valve springs will be upgraded
Let me know if I have forgot anything. I just want to cover everything before we tackle this swap. Thanks in advance.

can tap the block for the ls1 sensors or swap for ls2 style that are smaller threads.
motor mounts are the same
i think youve got it right on the cam/crank sensors

Yes, but who changed the crank reluctor wheel?
-cam sensor has to be changed to LS2? The cam will be replaced along with the timing chain to a LS2 aftermarket timing chain
Yes, youll need an upper timing gear from an LS2 GTO and the matching cam sensor
-relocate knock sensors? Does the block have to be tapped?
Theyll already be in the side of the LS3 block, youll have to open up the threads to M8 size
-any mods to the motor mounts?
No
