Default Should this combo work well?

Looking to put a bit more kick in my g8 gt. Here is the combo im looking at:

-Procomp LS3 Heads (Dr J Airwolf edition, the ones hot rod mag tested)
-Stock short block
-ported intake
-ported throttle body
-roto-fab
-kooks 1 7/8 long tubes with off road x
-solo axle-back
-yank ss 3200 stall

cam:
-thinking about the TSP LS3 229/236 .624"/.615"
Other suggestions very welcome

roughly what should the thing put to the wheels, if tuned by someone that knows their stuff?

I'd go to a different intake such as something from FAST and a set of Heads from MAST or have yours whacked out by a reputable machine shop. Go to super Light valves, and I've seen a lot of guys do this, pick a great Forced Induction cam instead of a N/A suited one. You may make only 450 to the wheels on this setup instead of 475, but then if you tire of that power level you can go straight to a FI setup in the future and make huge gains, while not having to go through all the B.S. It takes to do a cam change.

the cars a driver so it wont be going above that power level and if it did it would do it via displacement not FI. im considering the Mast Black labels but honestly the procomps come with better valves from what i can tell, good springs, and flow just as good about 1300 bucks cheaper. Also from what i have seen the fast intakes gain you nothing at this power level.

not trying to sound argumenitive there, just i dont see 1300 bucks plus for an intake, tb, new roto-fab 102mm for no gains. I mean ill give you it looks pretty.

Eh..... Well the intake that comes is just nothing spectacular. I'm an F.I. guy and right now I'm trying to decide on whether I want Mast, or a set of ported LSA heads. My G8 is a DD too and I'm looking for 650-700 RWHP after I finish my build. If you're dead set on not going F.I. then you should be fine with those heads, and have em milled to bump the compression. (Suggestion) Honestly for a streetable car I'd go with 114 lobe sep or higher. But then again you are running a fairly big stall so bucking/surging shouldn't be noticed too much. What injectors are you running?

the engine is stock atm internally and injection wise. They will mill the heads to my spec when ordered. Im not knocking the FAST intake im just hearing its not really worth the money on a NA motor at all. Ive had 3 speed shops try to talk me out of heads at the power level im looking for. What should be done to get the tranny in these things to live?

Either way you're going to see exceptional power gains. I'm not going to talk you out of heads at all. I think you're going to see great power gains, and TSP makes fantastic cams. Just take into consideration that they have a few different cams. I assume you want a really aggressive idle?

And to be honest, my tranny is living still, but I still have a stock stall converter. You'll wanna bump your line pressure by 20-30%, and then for added measure on the new stall you'll be having, you don't want it to make a whole helluva lot of power when the converter drops the hammer to the tranny. Reduce the engine timing until full transition of the converter to trans is completed, then up the timing, or else you'll be breaking input shafts right and left. 25% Torque Management is good to have between shifts as well.

The shifts will be shielded yes, but launching? It's just like dumping the clutch. That's why I advise not putting full power to it on launches unless you want to get a big meaty hardened output shaft. Then you can launch it as hard as you want!

My car is doing well with 12,000 miles since making over 600RWHP and I drove it like a maniac. I just got some bad gas and broke number 6 piston.
