There are allen-key drain plugs on either side of the block that thread in. Do these plugs need a copper washer or anything like that? My machine shop took them out but didn't put them back in. Also, same for the block heater... is there a sealing ring? Thanks.

 

Yes they have a small gasket. These plugs are usually an *** to get out and the threads Usually need to be chased
