Must be some magical AFR head that comes in with square ports, cuz as far as I know there are no aftermarket heads available for the square ports yet...

So after everyone arguing the point that AFR dosn't make ls3 heads, and my guy telling me he can get them I decided to call AFR and ask them. I was told that they do not make rectangular ports. So after calling my guy again, (now worried) he said he has a guy that will mill the heads to a rectangular port. How do you guys feel about that? This is a ls3 short block that's sposta be coming from Texas speed then having a LG cam and AFR heads put on it. Someone chime in here an help me understand this while thing.

I don't think it's physically possible to 'mill' cathedral ports to square ports. You have a tall skinny port vs a short wide port.

While you sure can port them horizontally to match the width of a square port, you have to realize that the cathedral ports are taller than the square ports. So then he would literally have to fill in the top and bottom of the cathedral ports to make them not as tall.

This idea is beyond stupid and physically not possible. WTF is he going to add to the head to reshape the port?

Thank god man this guy you went your car to is clueless. your better off reading and asking for help here on this site, i think you will do fine. Remember to ask questions if your not 100% sure. You might get a few ******* responses, but some people will help you out no matter how noob the question will be.
