Default ERL shortblock question

I've been doing a lot of looking around and found a 482ci shortblock that ERL builds. According to the site it's specifically for turbo application. 4.125 bore / 4.5 stroke 8.8:1 CR

Anyone ever heard of or know anyone that has ran this?

I wonder what rpms this thing could turn?

You probably should check out what the Ohio Boys are running if you are looking at that high end of a block from ERL

The max stroke I would go with would be a 4.250, RPM will depend on your rotating assembly, a CCW Crank and aluminum rods will be able to go higher in the RPM band than a non-CCW crank and steel rods.

4000 fps with steel rods. If u start pushing a motor like that it's not going to have much bearing life bro.

And also... Why do you need a 482" with a turbo? The right 427 would make WAY WAY more than you can use on the street.

I don't need it Phil. I am curious about this one because i've neve heard of anyone running it before. it seemed to me like a 4.5 stroke was way over the top for an lsx/turbo app.
