Default New to me 2006 GTO

So as the title says I recently purchased a new to me 2006 GTO A4. Sadly its an auto (wife cant drive stick). I am looking to do some engine modifications to get the most power out of it I can. So what do you guys think? My budget is about 3k-3,500. This is my daily driver. I can do minor mods myself but if it comes to doing a cam i'd probably have a shop do it. One thing to consider is I live in California.

What do you all think?

Go to ls1gto.com . Do some searches over on that site and it will have more answers for you.

Given you're in Cali I would probably do a set of JBA catted midpipes, intake, cam and stall all tuned.

That would be your best bet if you want to stay CARB legal. Maybe even a set of shorties if budget allows.

Cam package installed $1500
Stall installed $1000
Intake $300
Midpipes $500
Tune $400

That should be about $3700 when all said and done...you could probably save some money if you buy used stuff.
