Default Ported and Polished LS3 Heads???

I haven't been in this section in a while, compared to LS1 heads which can be ported and see substantial results, what about the LS3 heads. Is it worth porting them to get around 30-40 more hp. Does AFR or other vendors sell them with good results?

TEA use to offer parts and labor(your core) prices too. Still might.

ohhhhhh here we go again:

"Get _____ cnc LS3 heads! They are the best, because thats the brand I chose! Have I personally tested other comparable cnc'ed LS3 heads on my build? No, but trust me, _____'s are the ones you want!"

Do yourself a favor, go read the latest LS3 head shootout from HOT ROD magazine, thats the closest comparison you'll ever get that was done on the same engine on the same dyno. Like I've said before (and will when these posts arise), once you really read the article I believe you will see that you can't lose going with any of the big names that you regularly see on this board. Just select the one's that fit your budget and requirements.

Thanks for all the great info guys. I called AFR and they dont even sell LS3 heads, so not all vendors carry them, but I will check out the latest Hot Rod issue. Didn't even know they had that test.

Here's the thread..They were all within a few HP of each other..WCCH and SDPC both did well. I have Texas Speed CNC LS3 heads and their LS6 2.5 CNC heads on my other car..All the top name porters have great results...
