Nope, I'm running a 4.130 bore gasket on a 4" bore block. I have to with my AFR heads.

Can you tell me why AFR recommends this? Surely the chamber is not over 4.0 inches. When I called AFR, they tell me it is because of the chamber size.

I have a 4.000 inch bore engine and I run a 4.010 inch gasket. The heads are Livernois, but basically 243 series heads.

The chamber on AFR-1630 is 4.100", the gasket has some play best to use 4.125" bore or larger gasket. Or it hangs inside the chamber and burns up.

AFR does have small bore heads, those need a 4.000" gasket.

Combustion chamber has most to do with it, if its CNC or hand finished best to measure.

GM 6.0 gaskets are 4.050" gasket bore, on L76 engines GM uses a 4.100" gasket with 4.000" bore (LS3 heads chamber are around 4.100")
