Bolts for the 6-bolt heads
I would say most people that actually utilize all of the 6-bolts are purchasing the ARP head stud kit built for 6-bolt setups. We do not include any head bolts with our 6-bolt castings because many customers are not putting them on 6-bolt ready blocks.

Does anyone sell just these extra bolts? I dont really want to spend $438 on a head stud kit when I already have Head Studs
As far as I know, its a bolt and a stud. There is a bolt that gets threaded in from the bottom of the head in the lifter area. Then a stud on the exterior of the block.

Looking at some pictures of the GM LSX 454R crate engine, it looks like they used OEM style bolts for the 6 bolt heads, so GM might have a kit for 6 bolt heads/blocks based off of OEM TTY bolts.
One problem I ran into is that you can't get a torque wrench in there to tighten the inboard studs. I always used a sort of "adapter" from Matco that is basically a box end wrench with the slot in the other end for a 3/8" drive. It's small enough to get in there and torque the fastener, but you need to adjust the torque wrench to a lower value since the overall length will be different.
