Default 2007+ cast iron 5.3 bore size?

Is it 3.78" and are there any good budget forged pistons for them made by anyone?

Some 5.3 blocks can be bored out to accept 5.7 LS1 sized pistons. Depends on the block. Should be sonic checked.

I believe Wiseco makes 5.3 sized pistons now. Not super cheap though.

The only ones I could find were the Wiseco at Texas Speed and they run 700 w/ rings which isn't horrible but still not as budget like I really would like. The only thing that I am a bit worried about is that the largest dish I saw was -7cc which w/ the 243 heads I have that ave been decked and a gm mls head gasket my compression will be around 9.5:1. I am going to run e85 so its still doable but I would rather get down to 9:1 for my turbo application. Custom piston sets are pricey but in the long run might be better.
