I'm terrified of my 10-bolt. I finally have the car running pretty well, so I'm sure I'll be breaking it any time now. Especially with the 4.10s...

With the 6 speed and 4.10s you will be shearing gear teeth off your ring gear any time now.

I want to put a cheatr or other very 'mild' cam in my lq4 Im putting in my car.. l92 stock heads, 90mm ebay tb, ls3 intake, buying ls3 injectors, any ideas on how much I should mill my heads and still be able to clear the dished pistons? Does the dish not count for me since the bore of the intake valve is so large it reaches past the dish part of the piston and into the ringland?

I realize none of you two 'lq4 guys' are using these larger bore (AWESOMENESS) heads..

Anyways, if I can get some input on this, I seem to be missing everyones replies back to the questions I am having in regards to this.

I was gonna get some I believe 853 heads (ls3) same as l92 but cheaper then I would have some issues.

On the rear end CRAPPY 10 BOLT's yeah 4'10's an a good set of tires an bang. Actually I gotta find the pic I will put it up but my gears are fine but don't wanna spend anymore on that junky rear

I hope to not have to upgrade the 10bolt with my *gasp* stock 4l60 & 2.73 rear gears..

Maybe I can make it last 6 months

I want to get the best mpg possible, I will be driving the car to work (13miles/each) and around for grocery getting, probably put about 300miles/week on it. Stock stall because I haven't been in a stalled auto, and have no idea how the pickup is with a.. 3600 or so stall.

Eventually once I get a DD lsX truck or trailblazerSS, something of the likes; I will stall the car and probably put some 3.23 or 3.42 gears in it, but I love tearing down the highway and you can swing that speedo really far without shifting with 2.73 gears

I still got fairly good MPG on the freeway with my Stalled/Geared Z when i had the old set up in it. 3.73's and a Yank SBS 3800 stall and averaged 23MPG on the freeway untuned. Not to mention i daily drove it and still got about 17MPG in town if i stayed out of the throttle. A stall is honestly the funest thing you can do to an A4! It dropped my 1/4 time .4 with just a stall. Mind you this was all UNTUNED! It drove so close to stock, even with that size of a stall it was scary. I even DD'd it in the snow. You should really look into one, they are an awesome addition.
