AFR 230v2
AFR 230v2 I just bought a new set of AFR 230v2 large bore 62cc heads. I know that the new 230v2's is a new cnc program on the 225's. When I received the new heads they have "LSx 225 62cc V2" engraved on the sides. Just want to make sure they are the new model. Thanks.

Email AFR's sales department and give them the number on the barcode. That's the build number. They can tell you everything about the heads including ordered chamber size and who they were ordered through. I just had them help me out with a set of used 225's I bought.

Sorry to bring this one back, but what is the difference between the big bore and small bore versions of this head besides the obvious. AFRs website doesn't detail which versions are for what bore sizes.

small bore works ok with 4+ bore
basically - small bore for ls2+
big bore for ls3,ls7+
There is going to be alot of overlap here. I will be running the big bore on my 4.030" bore. 3.9 and 4.125 is a given on which one would work better. the 4.0-4.07 is where I bet they will both work almost the same, slight flow differences but pretty close.
I posted what is used in the test examples directly from AFR's website. Obviously they are suited well enough to be used in practice with the bores I stated since that is what they advertise with.
I never said that it was "ideal" for any specific setup, but merely wanted readers to know that it was a possibility to use these heads on a LS1/LS6 combination since it was asked what the difference was. You posted YOUR OPINION on what was ideal and I posted what AFR says will work.
