Default Cam question for you gurus

Purchased a l92 429 engine assembly from a machine shop and it has a new cam that came with it, custom ground by lunati with 277/283adv and 227/233 @ .050 with .584/.584 lift ground on a 111+4 lsa.
Before i knew it was going to include a cam i called the guys at texas speed and they suggested a cam with 231/239 @.050 with .617/.624 lift, and 112lsa; i see comp makes this cam on a 113lsa, and when you do the math the overlap on the cam from comp and the cam i have is the exact same.

My questions:
1. What is the real difference in achieving 58* overlap adv/ 9* @.050 with smaller duration and tighter lsa vs more duration and wider lsa.

2. Is the additional lift that much more important in the cams profile, to justify purchasing a new cam? And if so then would it be better spent to just by a 1.8 rocker arm instead, which would actually change the overlap in itself just a bit.

I am putting this engine into a crew cab truck, but i dont want to go back in this engine, so what do you guys think? What is the real difference in how these two cam would react, or will there really be much difference at all.
