So bottom line what is the deal? Did the heads make a big difference or not. I have GMPP LS7 heads and I'm thinking of going with the MAST 305 heads but haven't seen any definate real world data to show these things are ths ****.

Why are you coming up with a Mast 305 head when this test is about pulling off a set of ported LS3's and putting on a set of WCCH LS7 heads?
He hasn't been able to get to the track with a better set of tires on it to see if he can better his times.

I know the guy who owns the GTO. He street tunes it. It won't see the dyno.

I see you found a thread about the Mast heads. That is good about the power those heads make but with that much runner you have to wonder about bottom end grunt. I see you have a TBSS so it would be more of a concern for you. I can see the Mast heads on a big cubed engine in a vette/f-body but not your TBSS. You might want a head that will give you a little bit under the curve like my buddy was concerned about in his GTO in this thread. Obviously, he doesn't have a problem with power under the curve in his car, but he is using a stock casting that is ported by WCCH so the runner is not as big as the Mast 305. Just my .02
