Odd design of LS7 connecting rods + bearings I just noticed the strange design of LS7 connecting rod bearing ends.
Just how exactly are they supposed to prevent the bearings from spinning?
Normal connecting rod big end:
You can see how the bearing tangs on each shell half will lock against the opposite rod half to prevent it from spinning.
LS7 rod:

Here the bearing tangs have nothing at all to lock against. It's as if they are intended to rotate slightly and simply wedge themselves in the slots.

As far as I know ALL LS7 connecting rods are like this.
Has anyone ever seen this on any others connecting rods besides the LS7?
