Default LS9 Lash Caps

Didn't know about the need for special lash caps on ZR1 heads with titanium intake valves. Installed a pair of CNC ported ZR1 heads on my new LS3 Grand Sport corvette. Bought the heads complete with valves, springs, retainers and keepers. The Seller never told me about the need for special lash caps on the titanium valves. The setup ran good for about 6 days. It then dropped an intake valve and totally destroyed the engine.

haha nice.

I wounder how that **** sounded. "No be deal bro" just a little wear.
So you fixed them up under warranty Phil

Not as bad, but had to take a cutoff wheel and do some digging to get some damaged heads apart. Custom Ti valves moly coated, Ti locks..$$$

Are lash caps necessary for OEM LY6 inconel exhaust valves with 400lbs of open spring pressure? if so I better take my valvecovers off RIGHT NOW!
