That's a good idea bud, but I missed the 1.8 rocker deal why would you want to run those?

Let us know what he says!

The 1.8 rockers were suggested on the website to work well with the 230/246 cam I bought.

Talked to Geoff today. Excellent guy. We talked for about an hour about the cam selection.

Going with a slight variant of the 230/246...230/242 on a 113.

Sticking with 1.7 stock rockers. He said he has this cam in cam only 2010 camaro's making 480 at the ground.

So that is settled. Can't wait to start getting it together.

Good for you man, peace of mind is a beautiful thing. Geoff has always been very lending of his time with me also. I wish I would commit to a top end for my ly6 build (ls6 or ls3) so I could pull the trigger on my own EPS cam, and give that man a break from my indecisive a$$. lol

He's definitely a great guy. Even after an hour on the phone, I still forgot to ask what springs and lifters he recommends with that cam. So dont feel bad, I'll Be calling him again tomorrow.

And I gotta find 8 intake rockers and get them upgraded. This is proving to be the hardest thing to find without paying 14 bucks a pop new for them.

Good deal on talking to Geoff before cancelling your order. He is unlike some shops on the phone that just want to sell you something and get you off the phone. He goes into detail of why he chooses something and makes sure you have a grasp of what he's talking about before he gets off the phone with you.

Let me tell you of what Geoff does in his spare time. Now most of you are probably like me and have an issue of GM hihg tech mag or some other magazine in your bathroom so you can do your research . I was at Geoff's shop one day, getting a friend of mine's car tuned and I told Geoff I was going to the bathroom. He tells me check out the book in the bathroom. I get in there and there is a book on the back of the toilet that is titled "Internal Combustion Engine Intake and Exhaust Fluid Dynamics". I'm like damn! This dude reads this kind of **** when he *****! I couldn't understand half the **** in the book.

So this tells you the kind of stuff Geoff thinks about even in his off time.

By the way he is most likely to tell you to use the Patriot Gold .660 springs. Thunder uses them alot on their cams. They are a very good spring. I would say something like LS7 lifters for your combo.

230/246 is a very common cam from the LS3 C6 crowd. There were some posts over at CF showing damn near 500whp on it.

EPS lobes are VERY nice there is NO chatter at all on my EPS cammed L92.

I try to stay away from Camaro5. everytime i go there, i leave dumber.
Thats just cuz they're all so baked they caught on that we were stealing their tunes with booster cables but little do they know we can beam them off the radio antenna

Geoff and I decided on the 230/242.

I really hope all my problems with my truck didn't come from my buddies cavalier I jumped with it recently...he hit a pole...so I'm worried I might hit one too...

LFMAO!!! I thought "I" was the only one who felt that way about Camaro5!!!

Last weekend at the track, a friend of mine asked why I didn't attend much of the our local 5th gen meets, and my reply was I didn't have much in common with the "halo light and sticker crowd".

...but to stay on track with the OP, this EPS 230/246 grind has been on my mind for awhile. Looking like I might have to replace a collapsed lifter, so if I'm going to remove the heads, well, I might as well do a few other changes, LOL
