Crack in 6.0 block?

Car did a wheel stand came down hard had oil leak,found to be hairline crack on the drivers side block next to the rear cover about a " up from the pan 2 " long.Is it feasable to silcone this crack to get by for the season or am i wasteing my time?

I was thinking the JB weld but some said try the silcone the gray rtv its the strongest rtv u can get.So ill try that if not ill give the jb weld a shot if that dosn't work im just going to get anothner block.

Without a pic, it sounds like an oil galley. Don't think that'll be fixed without welding it...

I would jb weld it before I siliconed it.

I put jb weld on a 6" long crack on a radiator once and it held for 2 years.

If you could get a pic it would give us a little better idea.
