Default pushrod length, dont have access to push rod length checker

LS2, AFR 225's and Thunder racing 224/224 112. I'm running some tr 7.4 but engine sounds like sewing machine

Check your pushrod length. Not having a length checker is not an excuse. They are cheap and will save you a lot of headaches.

Just pick a new length. It doesn't matter what length. Without measuring, picking some random length is just as likely to get you the right one as any suggestion you get from this thread.

Go a step up to 7.425 aftermarket cams often have a smaller than stock base circle, so unless your heads are milled or not using factory gasket, you will probably need a longer than stock PR (7.4)

Probably longer than that considering the thick deck on the afr heads.

Go unbolt your valve covers and we'll measure it over TEH INTARWEBZ for you.

You can check the preload you are getting based on the number of turns past zero lash. It should be around.050"-.100" or 1 3/4 turns. It's something like .043" per full turn.

Rod length doesn't matter to check preload. Unless you are running a 7" push rod :-p
