2011 Escalade L94 Help
1. I would like to be able to make a little over 500hp, if possible 550hp. What all will it take and should the DOD and the AFM be removed to do this?
2. Is it neccesary to remove the vvt and AFM to make good power? I just want it to be reliable as I have read about multiple AFM/DOD lifter failures.
3. Once the DOD and VVT can you run any valves, springs, and cams that a LS3 can run?
The engine will be placed in a 1971 C10 truck. So gas mileage is not a big concern. I'm basically trying to see if I should purchase the l94 or wait for a l92.
Thanks in advance!
what type of horsepower numbers with a set of doug thorley headers and the TSP vvt-2 cam, springs, and TSP dod/AFM delete kit do you think it will get?
Click on the dynojet icon and you'll see they made 450 rwhp with the VVT-2 on a 2010 camaro Automatic car.
I'm hoping for a similar or slightly higher number on my T56 backed VVT-2 L92.
what do you guys think?

The nice thing about that VVT is the huge torque curve it can produce and a very smooth idle.
