Default Couple of questions for build...

Alright so I'm doing a winter build to swap an LS2 block into my 00 SS. I plan on having a custom cam specd and before I do I need a little input on some things before it can be specd...

Basic rundown and what I'm doing...
LS2
Aftermarket Lifters(havn't decided which yet but leaning toward link bar ones)
LS3 heads untouched
PAC dual valvesprings with comp trunion
LS3 intake
Moser 9"
Monster Clutch (prob stage 3)

What I need input on...
How deep is the limit on fly cutting the pistons before I run into trouble?

What thickness head gasket to get my comp. to run on 93 pump gas?

And should I do a MAF or SD tune?

Any help much appreciated! If you need any more info let me know...

hey buddy. new ls7 lifters will suffice for what you are building. no need to overspend. port the exhausts like i did. spinmonster of corvette forum fame cam with comp 230-234, 612 xfi lobes - 598 xer lobes lift with 114+2 lsa fits without flycutting even after milling heads .015 and using cometic .040 gaskets. proven 485 hp but you got to port work on ls3 exhaust ports.

just trying to help as i am very pleased with my set up which i patterned after spinmonster's recommendation and tailored to my truck...and that was after months and months of research. couldnt be happier
