I guess I'm the minority that would spend the extra dough to stay on the aluminum side to keep that weight out of the car and not err on the side of saving a couple of bucks to add the weight to my car.

I would also have to side with the preference of the aluminum block. I'd rather save the weight and an LS3 can take alot of abuse even in stock form with lots of power potential. Just my 2 pennies...
