i vote keep what you got. seen plenty 225cc heads on 400+in strokers. i have a few friends who have 243 heads on 427s...they do 520-530.
plus cathedral heads will get you better bottom end numbers....
and if you already got a cathedral 102 fast...keep that setup...

You'll still make some decent numbers with that setup, but you could always sell your topend and put the $ towards a different setup if you wanted to. Good luck with your build...

The 227 head will do fine on that application. keep in mind they still move awesome air compared to ALOT of major companies 235+cc runners. That being said if you upgrade the 247 PRC, or the all new PRC 260cc LS3 head that moves nearly 380cfm is a great option.
If you have someone wanting to buy your 227s then by all means upgrade, but without a doubt the 227 head will perform very well on that application.

DAMN. It takes a little longer than expected for the SB LS7s, then you build 250/255/260 LS3s. You guys are on a roll. I cain't wait ubtil those LS3 strokers w/ the new PRCs get built and dynode.

FWIW: I make 576/530 with a little 234-242 cam in my 427 with West Coast Cylinder Heads (proheads.com) Stage 3 L92 heads. The car is extremely mild and well behaved.
A "little" info on the build here:

Whatever you end up with keep the cam reasonable. The fun with a stroker 427 is having instant grunt available if done well. My car is a blast to drive. Tip in is insane and it makes 420 ft/lb of RWT at 2k RPM. Power peaks at 6,400 so you don't have to rev the **** out of it to go. On weekends I pull stumps.
