Default been a long time coming...

Well I am finally ready to build an LQ up. Found a deal from my buddy, 150 for an LQ, gotta look at it though. All I need is the block and I will work from there. I just want to get some ideas on this project and the rotating assembly. I'm not too concerned about heads yet bc that will done in about 6 months. The plan is to build the motor for boost, procharger... f-1c.... a little overkill but I wanna hurt mustangs feelings.... BAD. I was planning to go with a 408 but have never personally built a motor by myself, easy enough though. I just wanna get some good ideas on what route I should go with to hold up. I figure about 12-15 lbs of boost for driving and 17 ish for track days. Pretty much, if you were gonna build a 408 with a f-1c, what would you go with and what CR?

I would recommend looking at the 408. They are a tried and true bottom end that when built correctly can handle a lot of power. We usually shoot for around 9.5:1 for compression on large boost builds. I would recommend looking at Wiseco pistons as they offer a very strong piston and ring combo which can handle big boost. I would also make sure you get an ARP main stud kit for the motor as it would be needed for big power.

even a good 370 with that blower kit will send most mustangs home with their tail between their legs.
