Default Should I replace valves in 408 w/ LS3 Heads

Gettting a 408 stroker built and i have a set of stock LS3 cylinder heads going on it. Machine shop is reccomending changing both intake and exhaust valves due to the fact that the intake are hollow and exhaust are not solid and are 2 pieces that are just welded together.

I am running a TSP 231/236 cam .644 lift

What do you guys all reccomend?

Chevy isn't worried about those valves in an engine they have a warranty on. I wouldn't worry about them.

LS3 heads are just fine for a relatively tame setup (not like you're running 1000rwhp).

They just trying to sell you some more ****. The LS3 valves are quite ok, in fact a lot of L92 guys switch over to those for the weight.

Id def go for the hollow stem as well. plenty of people run the ls3 vaves way past 7000rpm on some pretty serious builds. im running hollow stems on my heads, they arent LS3's though.

Nothing wrong with the stock L92 valves. I ran them with .660 lift and PAC 1521 springs on the WCCH Stage 2 heads. They are actually lighter than some of the SS valves out there.
