The AFRs would be the 230, they are the replacement for the old 225s.

Jesel are top of the line, bout 900+

Maybe 1500 for all of it?

Youre not gonna gain any power from the 102tb over the 92 that should save a few bucks. Hell have a stock 90mm tb ported and polished to 92mm and save even more.

that sounds really good. but ima be paranoid with regretting not going with a fast 102, and a 102 tb. if i go 92/92 i may feel lke i coulda done better and maybe wasted money idk. i know i could resale. just a paranoia thing.

Take a look at the prc 227's. You can retain the stock rockers and just upgrade the trunion. Also if you are trying to pick up 60rwhp, then every bit counts. Get the 102. I went through this myself. I was at 380rwhp with h/c and ls6 intake and full boltons. Didnt know what to do at first but in the end I picked up 70rwhp and evetually ripped off enough time off my et to get from mid 11's to get the bottom 11's.

I swapped slp long tubes for Kooks and picked up some power. Swapped cams and picked up power. May sound stupid to some but its all in what you want. Is there a big difference in a 92/92 and a 102, no but its worth a little and you have it for future expansion.

Good luck

The 102 intake is a must, its just the tb that wont gain you anything (102 vs 92)

Its been around 8 years or so since I even had that particluar car. There wasnt as many options as there are now of course. It was Patriots stage 2 milled 317's and cam kit they had back then. I probably could find the specs somewhere but it was around the 224 range. Not a big cam by todays standards but the power was still poor.

I remember posting for answers as I was still learning and just getting the same answer of numbers dont mean anything and no actual help. I stuck with the heads since it was alot of trouble for me to do myself, but finally netted 450rwhp though a 12bolt.

I am doing the TEA Stage 2 LS6 heads on my 402. Take a look at this article before you decide. The TEA heads flow right up there with all the aftermarket heads and even do better than some of them. Not to mention the intake runners are smaller. 620 peak HP on a 408 is pretty danm good for a set of GM castings.

Some of the heads in this article are almost $3000.00, If I had paid that kind of money for a set of heads and someone with a set of ported GM heads were making the same if not more power I would be pretty pissed. Some guys get hung up on the fact that they think they have to buy aftermarket heads to make power, just not true.

^agreed. I just saw this post and was about to say the same. You should send ur heads to TEA so they can work on them. Ur results will be worth it.
