Mass Air Flow Meter- referred to as a MAF. I'm guessing is that a company named "Iron Eagle" ported the heads. You need to find out what casting type of head it is. Preferably by numerical designation: 853,799,806,243,241,.... Those are all GM casting numbers that are LS engine castings. If the heads are aftermarket heads, find out what they are like: AFR, Trick Flow, PRC, etc.

Unfortunately I am too far from the car to make another trip down there. The guy that I am buying it off does not know either it seems like. He is the one that told me it was "Iron Eagle" heads. As far as the MAF, I am assuming that you all are talking about the meter in the red metal casing...I was told that was a fuel pressure gauge.

Stock maf is 78mm, do you know if its an 85mm unit?
Go back to getting a lid.

Ok just making sure I wasn't talking to someone NOT in the USA!

See the numbers in the middle of the picture 243, I need a picture of that corner of the cylinder head it will tell us something

Forget about the MAFS and intake for now.
Did you ask the seller where/when the motor was built?

Yes I did and I actually just got off the phone with them. I have been told that all the work was done at EastCoast Supercharging in NJ. Eastcost has told me that they would have most likely put LS6 heads in it since it was done it 2006, but that they have switched over to electronic files since then and it would take forever to pull that file.

Ecs are good guys!!

You should go to the east coast forums and post up pictures of the car to see if they are familiar with the car. You might get some tips on it. Seems cool already.

Talk to Doug and/or Chris at ECS. Good guys and they will probably remember the car since it's not a vette which is the majority of their business.

Not bad RW numbers for a mild build. FWIW: The engine dyno numbers would have been more like 580-590hp.

From talking to Chris at ECS he thinks that it is a good deal. I am excited to see how it all works out. Once I get it I will have a mechanic take a look at it to provide me with more information without completely dismantling it! WKMCD where in northern va do you live? Maybe you can give me a heads up on a decent mechanic up in the area.

Straight down 15 from Leesburg. I'm about 1 mile before Rt 66.

Dart Iron Eagle heads are old school Chevy small block parts. Something sounds screwy.

And this is why grammar and punctuation are important.

Iron Eagle heads does not equal iron Eagle heads. Confusion ensues.

/Gramar **** rant. Enjoy your 402

So by that dyno sheet does that mean that it is rear wheel power and torque or block?

The DynoJet is sa chasis dyno so those are rear wheel numbers. My car registered 656HP and 610T on a SuperFlo engine dyno. The DynoJet chasis numbers are in my signature. The F-body drive train drag will be a little higher than mine.

Ok I just want to make sure that I was not misinformed on whether this was rw or block. Thanks for that advice.

We're not that far apart and I do get up to Leesburg from time to time - Rasberry Falls is a great course.

Here's my car if you see it out.

My drivetrain guy is very good and his shop is in Frederick. Not too far for you. I can't post his name or shop but let me know when you're ready.
