Default Newbie Question.......LSX402

Good evening...I hope this doesn't come off as a stupid question. I am trying to understand what I have been told. I am looking in to purchasing a F-Body that contains a LSX402. Can someone please give me a little information as to what this means...

It just means that it is supposedly to be a 6.0 aluminum or iron block 4in. bore with a 4in. stroke. Main key word is supposedly. easy way to tell is to look at the block and see if you can 6.0 on front driverside right below the deck, for heads.

It's not stock that's for sure, the Ls1 in the motor has been removed and replaced with a 6.0 and also the rotating assembly ie crank/rods/pistons. You need to ask and get into details about the build of the motor.

Its not that I am looking for a car with a lsx 402. I have just come across a 00 Camaro SS that has a 402 in it that is in great shape. I just want to make sure that I know what I am getting involved with.

Where is the car at? Post up in that region/section and chances are someone might know about that car.

Ok here is all of the information i can get. Evidently the guy selling the car purchased it off of someone who already had everything done.

Mods-

LSX 402
591 comp cam
iron eagle heads
richmond 3.73 gears
zo6 manual trans
koni adjustable suspension
hooker headers
flowmaster exhaust

He also sent me a dyno sheet that has 504.4 rwhp and 425.2 torque. he said that it had 630.5 hp on the motor.

You need to get more info on the heads bud, no such thing as iron eagle heads.

Post a link to the sale thread if you got one. Get some pics of the car and motor and post them up.

It looks like an aluminum motor to me, the K&N intake sucks and do does that lil MAFS get a GM 85mm loL IF you get it lol.

Can you get some close ups of the front and front lower corner of the heads? They should have some numbers.

One thing that I did not mention is that the intake is a FAST 92mm intake. Litle88 I do not understand what you mean in regard to the "does that lil MAFS get a GM 85mm". Also what would be a better intake other than the K&N?
