Desperately need help with tuning - IVA I am running out of options!
2007 purchased a new LS7 from JS in the states - I advised them at the time that it must meet UK IVA standards for Emissions. (GM ECM)
Three years later Car and engine went for IVA after a remapping (to apparently meet IVA requirements)..and passed except for slow idle.
Engine has the following spec cam -
Duration @ .050" lift- 242* intake 248* exhaust Lobe lift- .359" (intake), .362" (exh) Gross lift- .610" (intake), .615" (exh) Lobe separation angle- 116*
JS reaffirmed that it should go through with the right map settings.
Tuner came back up to remap and said he had leaned idle out even more and had made sure fast idle (which had passed) would remain around the same figure, but said that with cam overlap it he may not be able to do anything more...
What struck me later was that he had used a wide-band Lambda to do the work, but did not appear to have any kit to test the emissions themselves???.
Anyhow - took it to a local MOT shop who had the exact same kit as IVA - and its worse!
I am beginning to lose the will to live!
Can someone who knows give some advice or point me to someone who can get me through?
