i've been searching for hours and cant find the answer. what is the highest hp recorded on an all motor build. if you have a link that would be awesome.

Not exactly something they publish, but you can see their MPH and race weight to get an idea...I think they are running 165MPH at the last Shootout.

 

yea i looked them up. i found the car specs and 1/4 mile data. it calculated out they where at around 918hp. i did find a build thread in a HP magazine, SAM built an engine with almost the same numbers but with some juice. i didn't know if the SAM drag car was running any nitrous. if they are running spray then i think we might have a new record.

 

No, they don't run nitrous in their Orange SS. They were making over 1000hp on their dyno over 4 years ago, but they don't race dynos. They actually race the car in a class that prohibits nitrous and they're pretty dominant.

 

yeah i was going to say SAM does 1000-1100 with around 435 cubes...
