IMO it will be fine once you prime it before start up. I wouldn't worry about it at all. When we install camshafts, springs, upgrade trunions, push rods etc. in the shop the car has to sit for a day or two, maybe longer before it gets tuned sometimes.

Same thing happens in that instance as well. We will unhook the coil packs and fuel injectors then turn the motor over for 15 seconds to prime the oil pump and oiling system.

108.5 is also fine as well. Half a crank degree will only change the timing events half a degree.

Love the pulleys you chose - where did you get all those? My block should be coming back sometime next month!

What size pushrods did you end up running - I may have just missed that.

That intake is unreal. Seriously cannot wait to hear this thing at idle. How hard is that intake to keep tuned?

The pulley's all came with the Billet Specialties Tru-Trac system....The system also came with the PS pump, alternator, water pump, and A/C compressor....

The pushrods are 7.650" 3/8" manton 3 series

As far as the intake goes, we aren't really sure how hard it will be to keep in tune. In theory it should be pretty easy once we get it set up the first time

Push rods are 3/8" diameter .140" wall FWIW.

What air filters do intend to used on that intake?

Thanks for sharing all the info on your build!

^^ what you see at the end of the runners is what they consider "filters", lol. No other options...

OP - make sure your vacuum block lines are all the SAME length....FYI.

Looks great, btw

I remember you saying something about that a while back so I made sure that all of the vacuum lines were the same length...I think the only thing I am using a vacuum reference for is the fuel pressure regulator...well that and the MAP sensor, but that is being referenced off of its own dedicated vacuum rails...

IAC? like Idle air control? I didn't think I would need that using drive by cable? I thought that was only a drive by wire sort of deal...

Yes, idle air. Pretty sure Kinsler doesn't have DbW for these.....

If you already have the secondary vacuum "rails" that reside under the intake (look like fuel rails), you'll be fine in using those for your IAC. I used the vacuum block you showed above for MAP and fuel pressure.

I currently don't have any IAC anything to my knowlege...Is there a sensor or solenoid that I should have...I am running just the MAP off of the vacuum rails so we can get a better/more accurate reading...I don't know what I need for idle air control though...

You don't have anything. If you'd like it to idle, you might want to look into it.

FAST makes a remote IAC unit that plugs into the GM harness. Same one I used. Made a bracket for it and mounted out of sight. As I said, use the rails below the intake as your source and the vacuum block for MAP and fuel. You'll be glad you did.
