No real exciting news, but I have decided on this wheel....Hopefully I will be able to get a SS logo horn button made to go in place of the Nardi one...

Hey Briou, what P/N are you using for your coils? I used the standard truck coils (cause i got them cheap) but they're not that easy to mount in a compact config. i'm looking for something to so can hide out of the way.

Thx, keep plugging away can't wait to see this on the road..

Man I am not sure of the P/N off the top of my head, but I think they are the ls3 or ls7 style coils...or possibly ls6 style...I'm really not sure man...I will have to take a look at them when I get a chance to go home from school...

How come you are running that Hydroboost? All those hoes running all over the place! Why not run manual brakes? You have decent brakes right? Get a 15/16" GM MC and it will be so much simpler and drive great. Or if you want to be fancy use the Wilwood 7/8" bore MC.

I like the hydroboost, looks a lot cleaner on the firewall without that big donut behind the MC. Cool build!

Using the hydroboost because I want power brakes, and not manual...I know it would look a whole lot cleaner with just manual brakes, but that is something I just don't want to sacrifice...Maybe one day I will convert to manual brakes but that day is not any time soon...I think it will look fine once I get the braided wire loom wrapped around the hoses...I really don't think they will detract from the look under the engine bay....Also if I was that worried about it I wouldn't be running AC or heat..

Now for a more technical question...With the 3.5" headers what would be the pros/cons of running a 3.5" oval x-pipe in comparison to a 4" oval x-pipe kit? There is a $300 price difference...so I'm just trying to figure out if it would be worth it to run the 4" or not...

I like the hydroboost setup but have heard that it can be really touchy at higher RPM. Let us know what you think of it.

Your exhaust piping will be a bottleneck. What mufflers are you going to run?

I assume you picked the 3.5" collector for a reason so by going to the 3.5" oval you are effectively reducing that back down to 3".

For $300 it just doesn't seem like a worthwhile risk.

Thanks for the input D9HP....In going to run the spintech sportsman 1000xp's but I will also be running a pair of cutouts for when i want to get max power, I.E. at the track, or racing in Mexico.....

So you are thinking the 4" oval will be my best be? That is sort of what I am leaning towards as well...

After talking with the Spintech rep I decided on the 3.5" oval kit...there is less CS area than a 3.5" round, but with the cut outs it shouldn't be much of an issue....he was saying that the flow losses from going to a 3.5" oval from 3.5" round are minimal, and they designed the kits and designated them to match their round pipe counterpart, i.e. 4" oval = 4" round, 3.5" oval = 3.5" round, etc.....

In other news I got the steering wheel for the car and I am very happy with it...I think it will go perfect with the car and damn does it feel good....

Also got the front wheels and tires from CCW...I can now install the front brakes, and still be able to put it on the ground to roll it around.

Damn it has been a long time since I have posted an update...the car is still coming along...haven't had much progress recently though...I've been super busy with school and work along with some other stuff going on...I did get the X-pipe in and it looks great hoping to start mocking stuff up and ordering the mufflers and hangers and stuff to finish up the exhaust...and hopefully I can finally take the body off the frame and get on to the next step...lol I feel like I say that every other post haha

Man it has been way too long since I have been on here....The progress on the car has slowed significantly...Mainly due to the fact that I am still in school, and I just started/bought a new business building aluminum crawfish/seafood tables. But in starting the business it will give me more funds for building the car...Progress has also been slowed down in part by my dad having a stroke...He is stable, but will be in rehab for a year or two....

So there is a bunch of stuff going on in my life right now, most good, some bad, but that the way it is...

I am waiting on my exhaust guy to get some free time to put the car up on the rack....The car is currently sitting on all four wheels and tires and I must say that is a great feeling...

I have realized that Cruisin' the Coast 2015 is no longer an attainable goal for this car...but we will see how far I get by then haha

Man it has been far too long since I have been in here....Not a whole lot going on with the car currently...I am in the process of tearing it back down right now so I can get the frame powder coated, and the under coating put on the body....will try and post more updates as things happen, but things are happening slow......

So we are having to do a lot more with the body than we anticipated....ended up changing the firewall, cowl, floor, and even new quarter panels...so it is taking a bit longer than I anticipated...I'm hoping to have the body done and the car in the chassis shop in the next couple of weeks...

Still waiting on the body work to get finished up...set back after set back at the shop so it is taking a good bit longer than any of us anticipated. As for the engine it is still sitting pretty on the stand. I am working on getting the Holley EFI wiring harness shortened and tucked away....I will put up some pictures of the body work that has been done thus far....I am really starting to think I should have scooped up an F-body or Fox roller at the beginning of this build so I'd at least get to enjoy the engine.

Here is a pic of the firewall....the steering column hole, and wiring harness connector hole are also getting cleaned up...

And a couple pictures of the seats going in the car...Hard to tell in this picture but the stitching is dark green to match the paint color i plan to go with...
