Default L76 lifter/oil pump problem

I'm new on here guys and hoping someone might have seen this issue. We have deleted all the DOD hardware on a stock L76 (G8 GT) very low mile engine and have installed Lunati Hi-Rev lifters(72532) with Pac 1518 springs on a mild cam with EPs lobes. Stock oil pump. We are thinking that we are seeing lifter pump up on a cylinder. On test run we are losing compression on a cylinder shortly after start up. If you shut down and wait a bit and restart same thing happens. Suggestion has been made to change oil pump to a lower volume pump. I am doubting that this is the issue and am thinking its a lifter issue. I have emailed lunati for their opinion. Does anyone have any suggestions before we wipe a cam or worse. Thanks

How much preload on the lifters. I run the same lifters and mine makes quite a bit of oil pressure with no issues.

The preload is about .040 The melling pump will be here in the morning. No response from Lunati. I'll try calling tomorrow. I see a few posts on dud lunati's that pump up....Using Joe Gibbs oil for run in. Anyone heard that these lifters do not like heavier oil...?

Tim I doubt the pump is the issue also. They saw a misfire on #7 checked compression and saw nothing. Let the lifters bleed down and chk'd again and comp. was OK. I'll let them know about dropping the preload tonight. Thanks for calling Lunati. I'm on nights so its tough to get anything done. Above and beyond, Jack
