If you have a LS1/LS6 style computer with the 24x reluctor, you must use the LS1 style knock sensors. You just drill and tap the bottom bolt holes in the middle of the block, I got some pics if you want to see them.

Just looked at your pics, you are gonna have to take out the crank and have a machine shop change out the reluctor wheel or get the goodson tool and do it your self, and you need the 1x cam gear, This is the cam gear you need, it's the one I have and I was a little nervous myself, but it works:

As for 243 heads I found some ported and polished with double springs 650. Lift no rods or rockers, im thinking of putting a cam in it but have no idea what would work, hydraulic, roller, dont know im new to the internal engine but destined to learn. What do you guys recommend(cam) for the ls2 243 port and polished, fast intake with big mouth throttle or ls2 intake? Im looking for performace street car cam.
To change the reluctor you need to pull out the crank and have the machine shop press on the 24x one and remove the 58x. OR buy the 58x to 24x converter box from lingenfelter and you can just leave it as is. It really depends on how expensive the machine shop is. Personally I would just do the conversion box.

The heads would be good depending on who ported them. Cam selection is very subjective so if you post up the goals for what you want it will b e much easier to spec a cam out.

What I want is 500 hp to the engine. Im going to order the conversion box plus the harness. I priced the oil pan from jegs at 140 + or -. Im going to build the ls2 in my garage so lets see how much I can get done. What I need help on is cam specs, rod size, lifters springs, rockers. Im thinking aboutdumLingenfelter 243's port & polished they were flow tested at 320 CFM.dumthese heads are 1200 but I don't know if they will fit my application. Or should I just buy some ls6 243 heads with the sodium valves, ls6 intake or fast 92 mm intake. You guys are the experts whats your advise.
