Hey guys. Just picked up a gen IV 5.3 for my impala. I'm lookin for lots of ponies on a budget build. I'm always hearing about it, and I just jumped on board!! What would you build? Keep in mind this is a weekend car, not dd. I'm leaning towards carb+victor+cam+distributer. Thx guys!!!

Thanks! I suppose if I spent some time and effort on tuning, it would be OK but for now, it's one pig-rich dog at idle even with the AFR showing 13.7. It will positively funk up the garage and make your eyes bleed in a few short minutes. I'll prolly end up dumping it for an EFI self-tuning setup, too many projects and not enough patience...

I can relate to that .. Always too many projects, yet never enough, haha. I appreciate all the input. Can't wait to put this motor together.
