Ls3 swap in 00 trans am reading low oil pressure..advice needed
As the title says I recently swapped a stock cubic inch ls3 in my 00 trans Am.. Everything in the car in brand new..all new bearings.. All new rings.. Running a texas speed ported oil pump..with the bluesih green O ring..now at cold start it has 55-60 lbs..but once it fully warms up it has around 20-22lbs running a 5-30 Mobil 1 oil..should I be worried?.. Once I give it gas it jumps up to 40+ lbs..
Thanks in advance ,Jonathan ...

No. My LS3 GM crate engine w a cam/intake swap holds about the same. It has about 500 miles on it now and has had no issues. As long as the oil pressure climbs with RPM, its all good, IMO. The clearances may be slightly wide, but remember, lower pressure usually means high volume , and at idle the engine doesn't require a lot of oil anyway, because there is little load on the bearings.
EDIT>>>>Jim, the no at the beginning of my post wasn't directed to you. You snuck in between our posts, LOL.

Hey guys... I purchased the engine used off of here..but completely went through the engine top to bottom,I had the block honed and the crank polished..everything is stock as far as cubic inch goes..I purchased my rings and bearings from texas-speed..standard size...car drives great with no noises at all...great oil pressure while driving..just gets a ill low at idle..I wanted to make sure it was ok to drive ..
