6-bolt lsx head studs I am building an lsx motor and came across an issues when torquing the heads the studs in the lifter area. I haven't seen this any where so I figured I would post it of anyone has a problem. You cannot put a torque wrench on those studs so what you can do is, I will add pics take a torque wrench wich can Torque in reverse position put your 3/8" wrench on the end box end on the stud and open over the drive part of the torque wrench. You need some math skills for this measure from center to center of the wrench ends. If it is 4" long and your torque spec is 28ft/lb. the you set it to 21ft/lb. and torque (in reverse) and make sure your wrench is as straight out the end of the torque wrench as possible. Some one here may know the formula.
Convert your wrench length to ft. (4"=1/3') add 1' to to your wrench length now 1-1/3'. Divid this by your torque spec. So 28ft/lb divided by 1-1/3" equals 21ft/lb to get your proper spec.
