Yes, of course! The man, the legend, Ed Curtis can guide me!
Yes, they are, and that is something I have loved so far with this setup. There's no on/off switch, it is linear all the way through. The same cam in LS7's is decent down low, but does have an on/off switch around 5k.
It's great fun, and will be real fun for most of the events I'll run. Of course, for top end power that I'll need for the RR and SRK challenge, the setup could be improved. For road coursing, this cam will be fantastic due to its great average power!

Before swapping cams I would do a fast 102/102 setup. Should see a solid 20-25rwhp gain. 550rwhp is decent for stock intake. Friend made 548rwhp on a c6z with a 232/250 113 cam and then did a fast setup and made 580rwhp when all said and done.

Anyone have any results on a switch from 1 7/8" header to a 2"?? I talked to kooks about that once and they told me I would be fine and probably better off with the 1 7/8" header. They said it would make the tq curve "weird".....IDK but would love to see some results from a switch.
+1 on the fast. The 102's are a pretty nice intake. I have a Mamo ported one for my ls7 that came off dietcokes car.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to running some events here soon!

Yes, Chris is great to talk to, he wanted to know all about how things went. Once I told him, we went over the entire setup I'm running, and what bottlenecks may exists. He was on the same page w/ the expectations I had. Also, I spoke w/ Steve of ARH, whom was great also. So, 1 7/8 will be getting installed as soon as I get them in and coated.

Please list the spec's on this motor again so that I can help understand before you go hap hazard changing parts......my stock LS7 short block with ported heads and puny SR cam belted out 660RWHP through a stepped 1-3/4" header so I wouldn't be too quick to point to these as a major bottleneck.
Everyone has to remember that this is all about combination and not optimizing individual components......of course when I recommended 0.040" thick head gaskets everyone thought I was a dumbass but what do I know.......now at 680 RHWP!

Yes, it is the combo of parts, and I will be going through everything done to see what needs to be optimized. It'll be right before I'm settled. Although, right now it does drive extremely nice for a Cammed car. It drives like a stock C6Z w/ an extra 100 wheel.
Also, I'm not sure where you got that anyone had a condescending tone to you, but I don't know why we would. You combo is strong for sure.

Woo, relaxy taxi bro. Shoot me you email address and I'll scan all the ERL paperwork, along w/ cam specs, hard parts and everything else. I can tell you my quench is .044 w/ my .051 gasket. My LS6 quench w/ the .040 was .033, which IMO was a bit tight for spinning it out past 7k. Especially w/ the valve pockets that my current pistons have.

Sounds like a great driveable combo. Torque curve says it should be a riot on the street and through the twisties! You can always find ways to make more, but if you can't drive it what's the point....of course you can always find one of those internet hero "special" dynos and post numbers people want to see.

Yes, I plan on getting it to quarter some point in the next couple of months, but first, I'll be hitting up the runway rivalry 1/2 mile event in May.

Good.. the track is where it matters.. not 680 rwhp with no track results to back it up...

Still waiting for mine to get done. Il give ya a shout when it's close. And come check it out like we've talked before
