Has anyone used the eps cam 234 246 602 607 112. Eps claims 1500-7200. Rpm range. That seems to good to be true for a cam? They also said that it works best with a stock/stock type intake and cathedral port heads. For a 5.7-6.2l.. also if I do this cam how would the stock stall work with this? Eventually ill have a 3200 stall. But right now its out of the budget. Truck is going to be used as a DD with occasional track time. Has 3.73 gears. Thanks again for the help. Need to figure this cam out by like thursday.

Oh and also when doing the springs. The second cam has over .60p lift so ill be doing a dual valve spring. Moat likely pac springs. Ive read alot of horror stories with some comp springs. And ive read less on the pacs. But anyways my question about springs. Can I reuse the stock retainers, clips etc? Or do I need to get all aftermarket stuff? I know the stock retainers are tool steel. And would be better to upgrade to titanium retainers. But im running low on funds right now. I have ~ 3500 to spemd on a swap and cam spring install. Hes charging me 2750. For the 6.0/4l80e and cam install. And a tune. I have to buy the cam/springs/PR. ETC. and a set of injectors as well aparently. Sooo. Im at 450 for the cam 3150. ~300 for springs. 3450 And then 180 for the injectors. 3630 roughly.. (Used 8.1l.) I can probably scrape up the money for the extra 130. But another 250 for retainers. And another 150 for locks. Idk. That puts me at 500 over my budget. If it HAS to be done. Ill post pone it 2 weeks. And get the money. But if its not a "necessity" id like to not wait any longer. Been saving now for about 5 months. Lol. But I dont want reliability issues because of 400$ saved either. Thanks again for all the help. Just trying to figure everything out before I go down thursday to talk to this guy in person.

If you plan on a turbo later, do the LQ. These things are pretty damn strong. 2750 for RR an engine and tranny? Are they building the transmission too? That's pretty steep if not. Not sure what motor you have in your truck now, but you should give him your old motor and tranny and ask if he can credit you towards your labor. It might knock 500+ bucks off the bill. Just have him reuse your old front/back covers sensors and accessories replacing everything else with new stuff like gaskets, seals, etc.

Yeah gonna have less than 70k on the motor. And a freshly rebuilt trans. 1year warranty. 2750 includes the cam install, and the tune for the cam after the install. I thought that was pretty cheap down here in cali. Theres a few 6.0/ and a trans online for sale. People are asking like 4500+++ for the combo not Installed no warranty. With more miles.

So im really tempted to go with that eps cam. 234 246 but I dont see how it can make power from 1700-7200. Any input on that?
