So I picked up an 08 LY6 with 823 heads and stock block with vvt and no dod. I'm thinkin id I use .04 dometic MLS head gaskets and mill the 823s .04, I calculate to 10.5:1 scr. this higher cr would probly benefit from more cam than the stock LY6, like a stock l99 or l92 cam. I only use it in a truck at low to midrange which is why I don't want a big cam plus this motor's on a loooow budget. Any help, any gotchas, and anyone got a stock cam they can let go of?
