Default LS6 (p/n 12586665) Reliability (MTBF)

I am installing an LS Gen IV 6.0L motor. The motor has about 100k miles on it. I have had it tested and pulled the pan and valve covers off. Compression and leak-down look great and everything looks clean and tight on top of the heads, with the crank bearings and the cylinder walls.

The question concerns swapping out the existing oil pump, and I am trying to find out if there is a trend line on these things that suggests a mileage threshold I need to avoid with the oil pump.

the answer is probably buried somewhere in this forum, but I searched about a dozen threads and aside from what part number to use, whether to go with ported or unported, or to buy an LS6 vs a Melling vs an lsp, there is really nothing on reliability.

If someone has any good data, I would certainly like to have a look at it.
