what motor size

what motor size I am a few weeks away on pulling the trigger on a new motor . Now here is my problem ,
What size do I go with . this is my problem . Supercharged 408 , or na 427 or na 440 . I have 15 grand to do it and the t56 just needs rebuilt . The car will be driven a few time a week and taken to the track . I am looken for 650 at the wheel . Now if it makes more who to complain ! More hp the better , just no lower then 625 650 and still stay in my price range .

Why not a supercharged LS3. That way you can still get good gas milage and obtain you goals. That is a lot of power to the rear wheels. For street car you will need to find a way to get the power to the ground.

I'd say an all-forged LQ9 408 would get the job done, with a 4" stroke, and also avoid the problems encountered with 4.100" / 4.125", or longer, stroke.
I sure hope he isn't still running the 10-Bolt rear !
