Default best cam?

I've narrowed it down for my 2000 z28 ls1. I'm going with AFR 210 heads cuz I can't find 205 heads, fast 92 mm intake and trying to find the best .600 lift cam to compliment the combination. My goal is to reach 450rwhp

There are some people out there who say there is no such thing as "best", but they're basing their opinions off of outdated technology. It doesn't matter what transmission you have or what RPM you want to make power to. It doesn't matter how big the engine is or what supporting modifications are done. It just doesn't matter like it used to. With today's advancements in testing and metallurgy, I think one sponsor has nailed it:

Great minds think alike. The popularity of the cam is a testament to its superiority.

LOL. Yea , those cam specs are terrible for an EFI app, but really pretty good for us carbed intake LSX guys. Lots of cars running around the carbed world making great power with tight lsa cams.

Lol. In all seriousness we can set you (the OP) up with a custom cam fit for your driving habits and hopefully meet your power goals.

We have hit 430 with stock heads easily, so AFRs will be fairly easy as long as you have the supporting mods.

Let us know if we can help!

would it be that bad if he did? The specs are tight...but there are a few huge cams that do that too. and quite a few custom cams i have seen from other companies.

I probably wouldn't use it on a cathedral port setup, but it would probably be pretty decent with L92 style heads.

Quick Reply: best cam?
